The right mix of construction, tech, and investment expertise
Vivin is a construction enthusiast who is deeply passionate about the problems that face the industry.
He has worked as an operator and investor for the last 15 years and served as an advisor and board member to multiple firms.
He’s had the privilege of leading and building teams across 4 continents and enjoys the challenge of solving difficult problems by partnering with exceptional minds.
Mauricio works closely with entrepreneurs to help them succeed, achieve high ESG standards and drive the industry forward to respond to the main climate and productivity challenges.
His background working in the jobsite first and at Cemex Ventures later taught him what is needed for a successful implementation of technology and the right approach for startups engaging large corporates.
Juan worked as a ConTech investor for CEMEX CVC unit since 2018, where he developed Asia Pacific investment strategy, and set up the Shanghai Office in 2019.
Prior to this, Juan worked as an Associate for alternative asset manager Altamar CAM Partners in Madrid, and as a Consultant for Techedge Group in Chicago (USA). Juan holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid.
From practicing law at an international M&A lawfirm in Madrid to diving into the world of startups across several roles and geographies, to following my passion for technology that has led me to become a venture capitalist.
With a diverse background, I am dedicated to supporting first-class founders grow and expand their companies throughout Latin America.
A problem solver by nature and passionate about the 0 to 1 process, Victoria joined Zacua after running internal innovation at a North America Top 5 ENR GC.
Victoria started her career in government-sponsored clinical R&D, publishing research papers on healthcare outcomes. After several years (and with the support of her mentors), she traded in academic publications for MVP software solutions and founded her own digital health company. After 10 years as an operator, she was ready to join venture with the goal of being the bridge to align founders and investors.
Passionate about impact finance, Pedro joined Zacua to engage in and drive construction deals related to sustainability.
Engineer by degree from University College London, Pedro thrives in collaborative, cross-cultural, and analytical environments.
Pedro had a first exposure to the entrepreneurial ecosystem upon graduating, working for a renewable energy start-up. He then developed his career in strategy consulting in Dubai and Madrid, working in cases spanning the industrials, energy, infrastructure, and telco sectors amongst others.
